I don’t mean the 1980’s folks. I’m talking about age here. This device, the Freedom Launcher is for us older folk that can’t get our kayaks up and out in the water. – or maybe also for those that would like to make the launching and landing just a little bit easier! David Schricker, a semi-retired engineer, created this device and then especially modified it to fit my own kayak. Afterwards he was interested enough to work with me through some additional modifications, and then to top it off, he made a visit from his home in Illinois to join me for a short fishing trip. Afterwards he made this extemporaneous video in my driveway.

Either one of these videos could give you a good laugh. You may be encouraged to either take up the sport of kayak fishing or to prolong the adventure as long as you can!
